Art for Gold visually underlines the importance of freedom to us all. The project ‘Art For Gold’, developed by artist Eveline van de Griend, started in South Africa to raise awareness for the modern-day slavery in the gold mines of South Africa. People from around the globe gave Van de Griend their gold in exchange for art. Van de Griend recycles that gold to make one unique sculpture that she will donate to The National  Museum of Contemporary Art in Cape town South Africa.  Read more…
